Fiction Recommendation Experts

2023 Book Review: Poseidon

by H.G. Ahedi

A Science Fiction, Independently Published in 2021, 330 Pages

What I Didn’t Like:

  • There’s a LOT of characters to keep track of in this one. The reference pages at the front could help but you’ll need to bookmark them to flip back and forth.
  • The timeline flips between multiple ships and storylines, which can be a bit confusing. There’s a lot going on for sure.
  • There are some slow spots, which are intentional to show the normalcy for the characters among the chaos, but it makes for big jumps in pacing.

What I Did Like:

  • The quick jumps between characters works to keep the pace of the book moving.
  • The characters are great and a lot of favorites from book 1 are back. Emmeline was probably my favorite!
  • Everything surrounding space travel and ships is well written. It’s described well so you can understand it and it’s interesting.

Who Should Read This One:

  • Space scifi fans. This one doesn’t stand alone, so start with book 1 The Fall of Titan to really appreciate it!

My Rating: 3 Stars
