What I Didn’t Like:
- Claire, unfortunately, was not a great character for me. I found it so hard to relate to Claire – she was so prejudiced against the “wastelanders” and her lack of being able to acknowledge what she was seeing just really bugged me.
- The first few chapters are written in a way that made me feel like I was being dropped into the middle of a story, so I was confused about a few situations until it was all explained.
What I Did Like:
- The story building in this one was so intricate and the more you read the more little glimpses you see and it was truly amazing to read about their world in general.
- The romance is spicy in this one, but well written and tasteful. It’s not every chapter so you feel a good balance between the story and the more romantic scenes
- John and Kimmy are probably my favorite characters. Their attitude toward Claire as well as the way they seem to live life was such a great addition to the story.
Who Should Read This One:
romance fans who like a good plot, as well as fiction readers who like some extra spice
