What I Didn’t Like:

• Content warnings: some explicit sexual scenes.
• Attempts to show both of these two guys as love interests only succeeded in making us think Sage is a chronic insta-love kind of girl. Not my favorite. 
• Some of the events in the book are predictable and rather obvious.
• There’s definitely an “all men are awful” vibe permeating much of this story. While I don’t hate that for a woman empowered witchy story, it was a weird vibe for the romance line. 

What I Did Like:

• Everything surrounding the magic and the gifts of the sisters is delicious. I ate up those sections like dessert. I especially adored the way Sage described dirt. It was beautiful and poetic. 
• Poetic. The language throughout this book relating to descriptions and relationships is poetic. There’s no end to quote worthy lines. 
• Sisterly love. These sisters are painted just right, a unique balance of love and hate only sisters will understand. They’re complex and well written. 
• Gifts. The highlight of this one is definitely their gifts, including limitations and use. I could and would read a series featuring this family. 

Who Should Read This One:

• Fans of witchy magic books, for sure.
• Romance fans, this will satisfy many of your favorite requirements while allowing you to enjoy amazing poetic language. 
• Also, if you’re a fan of well-written sibling relationships in your stories!

My Rating: 5 Stars

• The blend here of fantasy and romance is well done in a pleasing way. The main characters shine and the language sends this one over the top.
