2025 Book Review: Fangs and Frenemies

by Sierra Cross

A Paranormal, 2019 by Enigmatic Books, 266 Pages

What I Didn’t Like:

  • Some of the leaps in or out of friendship are too quick to be realistic for adults, making this one read a bit younger than it should.
  • There are some typographical or grammatical errors, but nothing I couldn’t figure out quickly.
  • Some unanswered questions, which isn’t unheard of for the opener of a series.

What I Did Like:

  • The use or discussions about different magic types was well done and informative without being over the top.
  • Good premise. A little mystery, a lot of fantasy creatures, magic, and danger! All the elements of a cozy fantasy mystery. Plus, how fun would it be to be a baker witch!
  • Solid mystery. This multi-layered mystery contained a few surprises that kept me on my toes.

Who Should Read This One:

  • Cozy Fantasy mystery fans! This had a good cast and a fun use of magic to keep things interesting.

My Rating: 4 Stars
