What I Didn’t Like:
- The main character has a habit of not telling important people all the information, which puts her in danger. It’s mildly annoying.
- Incredibly slow burn romance in this series. If you like romance, this isn’t the one for you. That’s not inherently bad, just a note for the romance readers.
- I wanted more! The series had potential to keep going and I would’ve loved to see a 4th book. I’m sad to know this is the end.
What I Did Like:
- Right away you’re back into the world and the story, no matter how long you’ve been away. The characters are compelling and interesting, it reminds me of seeing old friends after a long time apart.
- The case is interesting. With all the layers and secrets, there’s plenty to keep you guessing until the end! Plus the ending satisfies.
- Tess’ mom is a good addition to the cast. She brings a little drama, lots of laughs, and an interesting perspective. She fit in well.
Who Should Read This One:
- Cozy mystery fans, this is a great trilogy (start with Buried in a Good Book) that’s worth the read.
