A Fantasy, 2016 by SparkPress, 328 Pages
What I Didn’t Like:
- Weird first page. Instead of drawing me in it left me confused. I’m glad I kept going though!
- There’s a LOT going on in this one. Many characters, dual timelines, and confusion. Sometimes it gets very hard to follow everything.
- I wanted the overarching message to be a bit stronger. As it is this one leaves things to your interpretation.
What I Did Like:
- The ending. No spoilers but it’s perfect for the story we’re telling.
- The past lives were fun to explore. I appreciated the detail that must have gone into the planning of this story.
- Eugenia is a solid character with a clear, authentic voice. I liked her sort of dry humor.
Who Should Read This One:
- Fans of complex past life kinds of stories will like this one best.
