What I Didn’t Like:

• Some minor formatting issues with the ebook, mostly odd headers and spacing. They shouldn’t affect someone’s enjoyment of the book so they won’t be factored into my rating here. But if you’re sensitive to that, maybe go with the paperback.
• Every other chapter ends with a sort of teaser like the kind you’d find at the end of a serial blog or an old radio show episode. I didn’t like that vibe. 
• Unanswered questions. This book opens up a whole host of questions for the reader, most of which aren’t addressed. In the afterword it’s mentioned that this is the opening to a series, so more may be coming. Still, I would have welcomed a little more development from this book.

What I Did Like:

• Good concept. I’ve read similar books before but there are some interesting tweaks here that work.
• Solid character. The first character we meet is one we can appreciate. She’s not perfect and makes her flaws clear, which I love. Plus she’s relatable and that’s great.
• Quick pace. This book doesn’t waste your time. It’s a quick read packed with action. 

Who Should Read This One:

• Fans of that sort of serial fiction vibe may really love this one. It’s short chapters and quick action.
