What I Didn’t Like:
- The three POV characters have VERY similar voices and (obviously) stories so, in the beginning, it’s a bit tricky to keep them separate in your mind.
- The story is pretty dark. You spend a lot of time feeling frustrated that you can’t stop these bad things from happening. While it matches the mood of the characters, it’s hard to read.
- I wanted a bit more from the ghosts than we got. It makes sense for the world established in the story, but I felt like it pulled back from what the synopsis seemed to promise.
What I Did Like:
- The story is so engaging that you find yourself cheering multiple times when good things finally happen.
- The 3 POV characters all have personalities and that do separate their stories. I enjoyed watching how they handled the problem as each one had a different approach.
- The established rules for the ghosts are established early and followed consistently. I love rules that drive fantasy and this is well done.
Who Should Read This One:
- Fans of paranormal thrillers.
