A Mystery/Thriller, 2026 by William Morrow Books, 336 Pages
What I Didn’t Like:
- The deaths are treated very cavalier. It’s as if each person who dies means nothing. Games continue and events must go on.
- The killer was a bit predictable. I had it figured out pretty early.
- Some pigeonholing of mystery writers or readers bothered me a bit. It’s not too heavy-handed but it is present.
What I Did Like:
- This one manages to have a fun vibe even while discussing murders. The voice is innocent and lighthearted, I had a good time!
- Fun nods to classic mystery like Christie or Holmes, which were good to have around.
- Fast read. The stakes keep the pace moving and the story is entertaining enough to keep you moving quickly through the events.
Who Should Read This One:
- Cozy mystery fans who want a compelling, fast read.
