What I Didn’t Like:

• Not really a negative, but worth noting. This one is not intended to stand alone and wouldn’t. It counts on you having read book 1 for this one to work. It also ends with little or no answers, meaning you’ll want the next one cued up. 
• A bit slower than book 1. This one felt like it dragged a little in the middle, like I was waiting for something to happen.
• The wolf pack intrigues me but I wanted more from them. They’re not big characters, but I do have hopes they’ll feature more as the series goes on. 

What I Did Like:

• Picks up exactly where the other one left off, which is good! You’re using that momentum built in book 1. 
• Again, this sets up the next book well. You’re prepared to go straight into it to find out what happens next.
• As Geri’s story unfolds I become more invested in what she might be and how this will all play out. It’s obvious there’s something different about her and it’s being hidden from us. It’s definitely got my curiosity piqued.

Who Should Read This One:

• Fans of the first one, obviously. Have the next one cued up too! 
• If you’re a fan of myth retellings that blend things you know, this series is for you. Vampires, slayers, werewolves, and hoods are all featured.
