A Mystery/Thriller, Independently Published in 2024, 315 Pages
What I Didn’t Like:
- There are a lot of characters to remember and learn in this one and they’re all introduced early. It made the story drag a little and made it difficult to remember who everyone was.
- Everyone has their own sort of love/hate relationship with phonetic spelling so be warned it is in this book. I am personally not a fan but it wasn’t every character so it didn’t bother me too much.
- The middle of the story gets sort of bogged down in details and pulls away from the central plot. It’s almost as if this is two books in one.
What I Did Like:
- Gracie is a good character. She’s relatable and her motivation makes sense. You find yourself rooting for her, even with her mistakes.
- The ending works. You get the intense confrontation from Gracie that you wanted and satisfying answers.
- Well written. Everything is described well and I didn’t see any major errors that affected the readability.
Who Should Read This One:
- Readers who like slower paced thrillers that bring in big casts.
