What I Didn’t Like:

• Geri continues to be slightly clueless even as things start to make sense. It’s like the readers are catching clues faster than she is. 
• Turns out a book mostly without Tobias bores me more than one with him. I think he brought a bit of humor to the series that was lacking in this book. 
• There are a lot of questions raised at this point in the series that still need to be answered going into the final book. Hopefully, those all get answered!

What I Did Like:

• Amy, you determined and pigheaded human, you might be the standout of this book for me. She found her own spine, tosses away her previous cliche role, and stepped into another one. She was funny and, honestly, I’m here for the slayer pairing. 
• The lore continues to bring new information. You’d think, by book 4, we would’ve learned all there is to know about the supernatural lore but this book keeps bringing new stuff. Not just the new to all of them stuff, which I expected, but things that are just untold to us. Very cool! Makes the entire thing feel more realistic. 
• The ending of this one was very well done. This is the first of the series where I thought if it ended right here, that would be fine. Obviously, I’m glad it didn’t as there are still things up in the air, but it was a good ending. 

Who Should Read This One:

• Fans of supernatural beings in their urban fantasy. This series continues to do a great job of bringing in lore in an interesting way.
